School is out and Summer is in!

Jade is officially out of school and was promoted to the 7th grade with Honor Roll status (A's and B's). I couldn't be prouder. She worked really hard over the last year and learned a lot of life lessons in 6th grade. So, needless to say we are all glad the school year is over.

We started summer with a bang...

A trip to Disney!

 Well,
not just any trip to Disney but mine, Jade, and Payton's first trip to Disney. We spent 5 days and 4 night enjoying, soaking up and being amazed by all the magical ways of Disney. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort on Disney and had the best room. It was a Pirates of the Caribbean room; deck out with pirate ships as beds, pirate flag as a curtain and boxes and barrels as dressers. Oh and a pool area that was just amazing.

While at Disney we, like most people, turned into kids. It was a wonderful experience that we will always remember.  I got to meet my favorite characters, such as the Mad Hatter and Sitch. Jade was able to ride Dumbo, which has been her favorite Disney movie since she was around 6 months old. Bill enjoyed the beauty and magic of Main Street and Payton, well, he enjoyed all the girls; as well as all the fast, scary, dark and frighting rides at each park.

As, you can see through the few pictures I have posted we had a very magical time at Disney. After leaving Disney we went to Bill's Great Aunt Ellen and Uncle Rick's house, where Jade, Payton and I got to meet Bill's Uncle and cousins for the first time. The Shelley Clan are a bunch of great people, who welcomed us with a smile and a hug. We all enjoyed their company and homes a great deal. While there we got to experience their farmer's market, where Rachel's sister sale her homemade bread, jams, salsa and lots of other tasty items. We also let all the children enjoy Danny and Rachel's pool at their old house and afterward had a shrimp boil at their new home. It was great seeing all the kids get alone so well. In all there were 6 kids; 4 boys, ranging in age of 5 to 12(Gavin5,Ryan 8, Riley 10 and Payton 12) and the 2 girls (Jade and Kaila, both 12).

Vacation was wonderful but now we are back to reality: doctor's appointments, camps and keeping up with everything, while keeping the kids entertained.

 Happy Summer Break Y'ALL!
